Mastercam is a state of the art Windows-based CAD/CAM manufacturing software that is widely used for automotive, energy, medical, aerospace, mold, composites, and consumer products that can handle surface and solid 3d modeling of parts, automated CNC programming, 2 through 5 axis milling/routing, turning 2D and 3D design, 2 and 4 axis wire EDM and is one of the best computer-aided design and manufacturing software available in the market that has every valuable tool created from the ground up to meet every requirement of both engineers and machinist worldwide.
Upgraded and refined since 1983, the latest version of Mastercam has every modern solution for meeting the requirements of customers that consist of practical shop-floor experience for projects of every size and powerful programming software. By improving a lot on flexibility and versatility in CAD/CAM space, it has allowed engineers to design their projects on a computer screen and lead the computer numerical controlled (CNC) machine tools. It has garnered the attention of every machinist and engineer community and leading CAD/CAM package in the world.
Features of Mastercam
Arsenal of comprehensive designing tools
When it comes to machining mastery and full design access, Mastercam comes with a great set of pre-defined tools that include pocketing, drill, contour, peel, face, engraving, high speed, surface, advanced multiaxis, and many more. Truly befitting of an industry-leading solution. It also lets the user develop their own control definitions that best suit their tools and machines.
Plenty of tutorials
For users who are new to the program and are figuring out where to start from and don’t know the basics, there are plenty of tutorials available that explain every function of Mastercam in a clear and precise way.
Mastercam has come a long way from a DOS-only application to native window space and has gone through several overhauls of use interface since the release of Mastercam 2017. The user interface of Mastercam is intuitive and resembles like Microsoft Office tab format with multiple streamlined tools for quicker iterations, faster operation, and more responsive deployment of final designs to the CNC machines.
